My Favorite Things: Frosty Treats Edition

Since most of the country is in the middle of, yet, another heat wave I thought I would try and help you cool off by sharing some of my favorite things relating to frosty treats.

None of the items I am about to share were provided to me by the manufacturer.  All items were researched and purchased by me personally….except the ice cream maker which I received as a gift. (Thank you, Eloise!)

We’ll start with that….my ice cream maker (which so many of you have asked about) is the Cuisinart Stainless-Steel Ice Cream Maker.  I love this thing if you haven’t already noticed.  Once you’ve made your ice cream base you simply pour the mixture into the frozen freezer can and turn it on.  You can churn up to 2 quarts of ice cream at a time and in as little as 25 minutes.  If you love to make your own ice cream this is a must have.  Bonus points….it’s super easy to clean and the cord has it’s own little storage compartment on the bottom. Sweet!

Zeroll’s Ice Cream Scoop makes scooping rock hard ice cream super easy.  The handle is filled with a heat conductive liquid that uses the warmth of your hand to soften the ice cream as you scoop.  Now you can have perfect rounds of ice cream with each scoop!

Made of durable BPA Free plastic, the Norpro Ice Pop Maker is my favorite because it makes the most pops.  I found that this was the most well made for the money….at under $20 I felt this was a bargain.  The pops slip out of the mold easily after running them under warm water for a few seconds.  I’ve used this mold so much that my cost per use is less than a nickel.

Don’t forget the popsicle sticks!!! (Make sure they’re food grade.)

No Drip Cup Ice Cream Holder….they need to come up with a better name but this product is genius.  If you have little ones you need this.  Eliminate the mess of drippy popsicles, this product catches all of it in a small cup.  You just pop in the stick and your done.  Landon loves his!

After making all that ice cream, you need a place to store all of it.  Amazon sells pint-sized ice cream cartons in bulk.  The cartons help eliminate freezer burn and are great if you’re planning to give your treats out as gifts.

And if the heat has really taken its toll on you and you just don’t have an ounce of energy left you can log onto Jeni’s Splendid and order yourself some of their amazing ice cream sandwiches.  They are incredible and offer flavors like Oatmeal Cream and Salty Caramel with Smoky Almonds just to name a few.

But, if my post has left you inspired and you’re running to the kitchen to fire up your ice cream maker….I will end with my favorite ice cream recipe….Homemade Coffee Ice Cream.  You can’t beat this  recipe and others will agree. Afterall, it is my most pinned ice cream recipe on Pinterest!
