Tuesday’s Tip: Sweeten the Pot For Sweeter Corn

Sweet corn on the cob is one of my favorite summer treats.  BUT buying corn too early or a little later in the season can leave you with a disappointing cob of starchy kernels.

You can make things a little sweeter by adding 1/4 cup granulated sugar to a 6 quart pot of boiling water before cooking your corn.  I do this every time I boil corn on the cob regardless of where we are during the season.  It just makes it taste so much sweeter.

Serve with a side of dental floss. 🙂  (Now I’m just being corny.)
