  • 3 pounds bone-in skin-on chicken legs

  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  1. Preheat grill.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken on the grill with the lid open. Grill the chicken over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until the skin is crispy. Turn the heat to low and close the lid.
  4. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until almost cooked though.
  5. Open the grill and baste the chicken with barbecue sauce on all sides. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes. Baste the chicken again on all sides and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes covered with foil. Serve immediately.
