Classic and refreshing, this is the same sweet tea recipe my mom used to make!

Ingredients
  • 4 cups water plus more for filling pitcher
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 12 teabags
  • lemon wedges if desired
Instructions
  1. Bring 4 cups water to a boil over high heat and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  2. Turn off the heat and add the teabags.
  3. Steep for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove the teabags and transfer the tea to a gallon pitcher. 
  5. Fill the pitcher with water and chill. 
  6. Serve with lemon wedges and simple syrup, if desired.
Recipe Notes

Tea can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
