Quick and easy Brown Butter Berry Cobbler recipe is the best thing to happen to summer. Made with fresh ripe berries and nestled in a buttery, nutty biscuit crust....this the dessert for every summer party.
Add the butter to a small skillet and melt over medium-high heat.
Continue cooking until the butter begins to brown slightly, stirring or swirling the pan occasionally. Turn off the heat and cool slightly.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Whisk the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl.
Gradually add half and half while continuing to whisk until smooth. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, toss berries, brown sugar, remaining granulated sugar, and vanilla until combined.
Pour the butter into the baking dish and then the batter over the butter. Don't stir.
Pour berries over the batter and spread with a spatula.
Bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
Allow the cobbler to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
