Ingredients
4lbpork loin roast
1 cuphoney
1 cupsoy sauce
3garlic cloves, minced
3tbsphoisin sauce
1tbspfish sauce
1tbsprice wine vinegar
1tbspchopped ginger
1 cupchicken stockor beef stock
Instructions
Place the pork in the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, hoisin, fish sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and stock.
Pour the sauce mixture over the pork and cover with the lid.
Cook the pork on high for 4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.
Transfer the pork to a platter and keep warm.
Pour the remaining sauce in the slow cooker into a small saucepan and bring to a boil on the stover over medium heat.
Cook the sauce for 5 minutes or until reduced by half.
Slice the pork into 1 inch thick slices and serve with the sauce.
Notes
When cooking at a lower setting for a longer period of time, your pork will be more tender than if cooked at a higher setting. Leftover pork will keep in an airtight container, refrigerated, for up to 5 days. Use leftovers in tacos, burritos, or over rice.
