Instructions
To toast pine nuts on the stove:
Add the pine nuts to a skillet over medium high heat.
Heat the nuts until lightly browned, tossing occasionally, for about 3-5 minutes.
To toast pine nuts in the oven:
Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
Arrange the nuts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Toast the pine nuts until lightly browned, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, approximately 6-7 minutes.
Remove from the oven and use immediately or store in an airtight container for 10 days.
Notes
Pine nuts can be toasted up to 2 weeks in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
