Ingredients
1.1lbschicken wings
MARINADE:
1/3cuphoney
1/3cupsoy sauce
1/3cuprice vinegar
2tablespoonhoisin sauce
1tablespoonsesame oil
1tablespoonminced garlic
1teaspoonblack pepper powder
Instructions
In a large bowl mix all the ingredients under marinade.
Remove half of the marinade. Add the chicken wings to the leftover marinade and let it rest in the refrigerator for 6 hours OR overnight.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F / 180-degree C. Put the chicken wings in it (6-7 per batch). Cook for 5 minutes on one side then turn the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes or until nicely browned. Repeat with the rest of the chicken wings.
Next heat a pan over a medium-high flame and add reserved marinade, cook until the sauce thickens and set aside.
To serve, drizzle the sauce over the air-fried chicken and then garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes, and chopped spring onions.
Notes
You can store the honey soy chicken in an airtight container for 4 days in the refrigerator or for around 3 months in the freezer.
