3tablespoonsbutteror bacon fat
2 1/2tablespoonsall purpose flour
1/2cupheavy cream
1/2tablespoongarlic powder
2tablespoonsgrated parmesan cheese
2cupsfrozen peasthawed
1/2cupfrozen pearl onionsthawed
Instructions
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium high heat and whisk in the flour. Cook the butter mixture until it begins to turn golden brown and has a nutty aroma, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Turn the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder and cheese. Continue to whisk until slightly thickened.
Stir in the peas and onions. Continue to cook until warmed through.
