Ingredients
5Tbsp.salted butterbrowned
1cupall-purpose flour
1 1/4cupsgranulated sugardivided
1Tbsp.baking powder
1/2Tsp.Kosher salt
1cuphalf and half
4cupsfresh berries
1/4cuplight brown sugar
1Tsp.vanilla
Instructions
Add the butter to a small skillet and melt over medium-high heat.
Continue cooking until the butter begins to brown slightly, stirring or swirling the pan occasionally. Turn off the heat and cool slightly.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Whisk the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl.
Gradually add half and half while continuing to whisk until smooth. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, toss berries, brown sugar, remaining granulated sugar, and vanilla until combined.
Pour the butter into the baking dish and then the batter over the butter. Don't stir.
Pour berries over the batter and spread with a spatula.
Bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
Allow the cobbler to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
