Instructions
Husk the corn and remove the corn silk.
Cut the corn cob in half. Because of the size and shape of the Instant Pot, the corn on the cob will fit better if you cut it in half.
Place the trivet in the bottom of the pressure cooker and add one cup of water.
Stand the corn cobs on their ends atop the trivet to ensure even cooking.
Place the lid on the pressure cooker making sure the valve is sealed and set to 5 minutes of high pressure.
When the corn is finished cooking, manually release the pressure.
Transfer the corn to a platter and pour out the remaining water.
Melt the butter in the pressure cooker and add the corn back to the pot.
Toss to coat and serve immediately.
Notes
You can freeze leftover corn on the cob if wrapped tightly in plastic and stored in the freezer for up to 2 months.
