package gnocchi

cup
diced onion

garlic cloves minced

can peeled crushed tomatoes

Italian Seasoning

kosher salt

fresh ground pepper

ball Burratta cheese
sliced into 1/2 inch rounds.
Instructions
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook as directed. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute longer.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Pour half the sauce in a baking dish and top with the gnocchi. Pour the remaining sauce over the gnocchi and arrange the burrata on top of the sauce.
Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.
Serve immediately with chopped basil, if desired.
Notes
Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina is easy to modify. Add cooked sausage or spinach to the sauce before baking the dish to add a little hearty or healthiness.
