Honey garlic pork chops are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish. The pork chops are first seared in a pan until golden brown, then a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce is made in the same pan with butter, garlic, honey, vinegar, and stock. The pork chops are added back to the pan and cooked in the sauce until cooked through and coated in the delicious glaze.
Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season liberally with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Place the pork chops in the working in batches, if necessary. Cook the pork chops for approximately 4 minutes or until golden brown. The pork will release easily from the pan when ready to flip.
Flip the pork over and cook for 4 minutes. Transfer the pork chops to a plate or platter and drain off all but 2 tablespoons of the remaining juices.
Add the butter to the pan and stir in the garlic. Cook for 1 minute.
Whisk in the honey, chicken stock, vinegar, hoisin sauce and soy sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the pork to the pan, turning to coat with the sauce.
Transfer the skillet to the oven. Roast the chicken for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 140˚F.
Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and garnish with the green onions, if desired
Serve over rice or noodles with the remaining pan sauce.
