3tablespoonHot Honeyif you can’t find hot honey, use regular honey with 1 tablespoon ground cayenne
1/4cupsoy sauce
1tablespoonrice wineMirin
1tablespoonrice wine vinegar
1tablespoonGarlic Chili Paste
1teaspoonsesame oil
1teaspoonminced fresh ginger
4salmon filets
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425˚F.
In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice wine, rice wine vinegar, garlic chili paste, sesame oil and ginger.
Bring the glaze to a boil over medium heat until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Arrange the salmon filets, skin side down, in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment.
Brush the salmon filets with half the glaze using a pastry brush or silicon brush.
Bake the salmon for 10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Optional step, to caramelized the top of the salmon, broil for 1-2 minutes keeping a close eye on the salmon as the glaze can burn quickly if you’re not looking.
Remove the salmon from the oven and serve with the remaining sauce for drizzling.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion, if desired.
Notes
Glaze can be made up to 3 days in advance.Salmon is best served soon after baking.Leftovers make an excellent salad topper.
