Miso Glazed Salmon is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish where salmon fillets are marinated in a sweet and savory miso mixture before being baked or broiled. The glaze caramelizes to create a beautiful, flavorful crust while the salmon remains tender and flaky.
Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, add the miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine, ginger, vinegar and sesame oil. Whisk to combine.
Transfer the salmon to a shallow dish and pour half the marinade over the fish. Marinade for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
Heat a large skillet in the oven for 5 minutes.
Remove the salmon from the marinade and transfer to the skillet, skin side down.
Bake the salmon for 10-12 minutes or until the salmon is opaque. Brush with the reserved marinade and broil on high for 2 minutes or until caramelized and the salmon registers 125˚F on an instant read thermometer.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
