This easy Pineapple Margarita is sweet, tangy, refreshing, and perfect for summer sipping. Made with silver tequila, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave, it’s a simple tropical cocktail for parties, taco night, or relaxing poolside.
1/2ounceorange liqueursuch as Cointreau or triple sec
1/2ounceagave nectaror to taste
1/4ouncejalapeño simple syrup or a few jalapeño slicesoptional
Tajín or coarse saltfor the rim
Lime wedgefor rimming

For Garnish:
Pineapple wedge
Lime wheel
Jalapeño sliceoptional
Instructions
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into Tajín or coarse salt.
Fill the glass with ice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, orange liqueur, agave, and jalapeño, if using.
Add ice to the shaker and shake hard for 15 seconds.
Strain into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge, lime wheel, and jalapeño slice, if desired.
Notes
For deeper pineapple flavor, grill or broil a few pineapple chunks until caramelized, then muddle 2–3 chunks in the shaker before adding the liquids.
For a spicy Pineapple Margarita, use jalapeño simple syrup or muddle a few fresh jalapeño slices in the shaker. Start small and add more to taste.
Fresh lime juice is best for the brightest flavor.
Adjust the agave to taste depending on how sweet your pineapple juice is.
Pitcher Version: For 8 margaritas, combine: 2 cups silver tequila 1 cup pineapple juice 3/4 cup fresh lime juice 1/2 cup orange liqueur 1/2 cup agave nectar, or to tasteStir together in a pitcher and chill until ready to serve. Do not add ice to the pitcher or the margaritas will get watered down. Rim glasses with Tajín or salt, fill with ice, pour the margaritas over top, and garnish.
