Jigger or measuring cup
Bar spoon (optional)
Ingredients
2
ounces
silver tequila
4
ounces
orange juice
½

orange slice
for garnish
1
maraschino cherry
for garnish
Instructions
Fill a tall glass with ice.
Pour the tequila and orange juice over the ice and stir gently to combine.
Slowly pour the grenadine down the inside of the glass. It will naturally sink to the bottom, creating the signature sunrise effect.
Do not stir after adding the grenadine.
Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Freshly squeezed orange juice gives this cocktail the brightest, freshest flavor.
Pour the grenadine slowly down the inside of the glass to create distinct layers.
Use a silver (blanco) tequila for the cleanest, crispest flavor.
Fill the glass with plenty of ice to keep the cocktail cold without watering it down too quickly.
This cocktail is best served immediately after preparing.
