Instructions
In a medium bowl, add ground chicken, mayonnaise, parsley, garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Use your hands to combine all the ingredients together until well combined, don’t over mix.
Form into 4 patties, about ¾ inch thick. Press down in the middle of each patty with your thumb to ensure the patties don’t puff up in the middle.
Transfer to the refrigerator for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
Preheat a grill to medium high or preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Brush the burgers with the olive oil on both sides. Also, brush the grill grates with olive oil.
Add the chicken burgers to the grill or the pan. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Then, flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes on the opposite side.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 165°F. If they need more time, reduce the heat slightly and continue cooking until fully done.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Don’t skip chilling the patties—it helps keep them together during cooking.
Use a meat thermometer for perfectly cooked, juicy burgers.
These burgers also work great in lettuce wraps for a low-carb version.
