Tuesday’s Tip: Homemade Ice Cream Without a Machine
Love homemade ice cream but don’t have an ice cream maker? No problem!
You can make my recipes at home without one. It takes a little more attention since you will be churning by hand but it can be done and with almost the same result!
Follow one of my recipes (my most pinned recipe is the Coffee Ice Cream) through the ice bath stage. Once thoroughly chilled, transfer the mixture to a freezer safe dish and place in the freezer for approximately 45 minutes. Remove from the freezer and mix it thoroughly with a whisk or hand mixer being sure to break up any frozen pieces. Pay close attention to the sides of the container as this is where it will begin to freeze first.
Continue this process every 30 minutes until the mixture is frozen. This may take 2-3 hours.
Transfer the mixture to a covered, freezer safe container and store in the freezer until ready to serve.

I have been wanting to make ice cream all summer…of course I don’t have an ice cream maker, so when I saw this I’m intrigued. I’m going to try it! Thank you for the instructions. 🙂
