Limoncello Spritz
If you need a refreshing cocktail recipe for the spring and summer, look no further than this delightful Limoncello Spritz! It’s a cold, bubbly, slightly sweet lemon cocktail that’s ideal for sunny days. It’s so easy to make with just 3 ingredients!
Limoncello Spritz
Looking for the perfect Easter or spring cocktail? Or maybe you need something to sip on this summer as you lounge lazily by the pool. Whatever the sunny occasion may be, this limoncello spritz is here to save the day! It’s citrusy, slightly sweet, bubbly and refreshing as can be. Everything about this easy lemon spritz recipe practically screams summer.
I think my favorite thing about this cocktail recipe is that it only calls for 3 ingredients. While I do consider myself quite the mixologist these days, I don’t necessarily love when I have to stay behind the bar muddling and measuring while the party goes on without me. With this limoncello spritz recipe, you just have to pour some prosecco, limoncello and club soda over ice and serve. It’s that easy!
Garnishing the glass with fresh herbs (mint or basil both work) and a lemon slice is also a must. Limoncello already smells lovely, so adding even more fresh aromatics to the glass makes each sip all the more pleasant. Because this spritz recipe is so simple, I’ve also included a few easy variations to try. Just scroll down a little bit to check those out!

Ingredient Notes
This 3 ingredient cocktail recipe is delightfully simple. This is what you’ll need to make it:
- Limoncello – This sweet, citrusy, aromatic is what creates the best lemon flavor in this cocktail! Use your leftover limoncello to make the very best mango salad with limoncello dressing.
- Prosecco – You can swap this with champagne if needed.
- Club Soda – Tonic water also works well if that’s what you have on hand.
- Optional Garnishes – Fresh mint, basil, and/or lemon slices are the best garnishes!
Variations to Try
Here are just a few tasty ways you can change up this limoncello cocktail recipe:
- Add berries to the bottom of the glass and muddle before adding the ice for a refreshing twist on this drink. Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries are all great options!
- Flavored seltzers and sparkling water are great additions instead of using club soda. There are so many different flavored seltzers on the market now so you can really get creative here.
- Freeze lemon slices or other fruit to use in place of half the ice for a refreshing summer drink.
- Add a floral twist with a small splash of lavender simple syrup! Be careful not to go overboard, just because the sweetness can be overpowering. Honey simple syrup is another nice addition to a touch of added sweetness.
Can I make it ahead of time?
I do not recommend making this bubbly spritz ahead of time! Once everything is poured into a glass, the bubbles are on a bit of a timer. If you let it sit for too long they will go flat. Be sure you don’t make this cocktail until you’re ready to serve it.
