Everyone knows that the Texas Roadhouse butter is the whole reason you go to the restaurant! The rolls are good, but the butter is what’s actually addictive. With a little trial and error, I’ve perfected the BEST copycat recipe for that unforgettable cinnamon butter!

A jar of brown butter is placed in front of a few slices of bread.

Copycat Texas Roadhouse Butter

After whipping up this incredibly easy butter, you won’t be able to tell the difference between the copycat and the real thing! Now, you can enjoy this famous butter in the comfort of your own kitchen instead of bracing the crowds at Texas Roadhouse. If you’ve never been to Texas Roadhouse, you’ll have to take my word for it. This butter is heavenly.

The beauty of this easy recipe is that it only takes about 5 minutes of prep time and makes a whopping 14-16 servings! Try it on dinner rolls, toast, muffins, sweet potatoes, even pancakes or French toast. I’m not lying when I say this stuff is addictive!

With the combination of honey, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, a dash of salt, and the spice of ground cinnamon, you really can’t go wrong. I’m sure you already have all the ingredients you need in your baking arsenal. Honestly, this is such a quick and easy recipe to throw together, it’ll impress anyone at your table.

How to Make It

All you need is six ingredients, a mixing bowl, and 5 minutes of your time. That’s it! You’re just steps away from enjoying this light and fluffy sweet cinnamon butter.

Whip it. In a large mixing bowl, beat your two sticks of unsalted butter until fluffy.

A tip – It’s important that the butter is at room temperature before you start combining your ingredients. Room temperature butter will give you the fluffy consistency you want in this recipe. Don’t microwave your butter to soften it! It’ll turn into a runny mess. Let the butter reach room temperature on it’s own by leaving it on your counter for about an hour prior to turning it into the copycat Texas Roadhouse butter.

An electric mixer is combining the ingredients in a large glass bowl.

Combine the rest of the ingredients. Add into the butter the powdered sugar, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and kosher salt. Continue to whip the mixture until smooth.

And just like that, you’re all done. Told you it was simple!

The butter has been thoroughly mixed in a glass bowl.

Can I vary the batch size?

Of course! If you want to cut the serving size down, simply cut your ingredients in half. If you want to double your batch, just double the ingredients.

However, after tasting this butter, I seriously can’t imagine wanting to cut it down… Prepare for a double batch!

How should I serve copycat Texas Roadhouse butter?

Now that you’ve got a deliciously decadent batch of copycat Texas Roadhouse butter, what should you put it on? The real question is, what shouldn’t you drench in this sweet concoction?!

Here are just a few bread recipes (and bread-adjacent recipes) that are ten times better when smeared with this butter.

How long will it stay fresh?

The best part about this butter? It can stay fresh in your refrigerator for up to an entire month! Granted, mine never seems to last that long because no one in my house can keep out of it… But I still love that it has such a long life! Just be sure to keep it in an airtight container for optimal freshness.

You can even make it and freeze it to save time for yourself later, or just to know that you always have some readily available. If you do freeze it, let it thaw in your refrigerator or at room temperature for a few hours. I don’t recommend microwaving it, otherwise you risk the ingredients separating.
