Strawberry Frosé

I’m a sucker for a good blended summer drink! While I think I probably make Frozen Piña Colada Cocktails more than anything else during the summer, this Strawberry Frosé might just take up residence in my blender more than any other drink this season! It’s got a short and sweet list of ingredients, it’s easy to blend up in no time flat, and everyone LOVES it. I mean, it’s got rosé wine and strawberries… What’s not to love?!

I feel like rosé wine started as a trend a few years ago and has only gained popularity since then. It’s always fun when a fad food finds its footing as a staple instead of a passing trend! While rosé in a glass on its own is delicious, it really does wonders when blended with strawberries. The fruity and floral notes in rosé compliment the natural flavors of the strawberries in a lovely way, and it’s all sweetened with honey instead of sugar to keep things on the more natural side.

To balance out all of that sweetness, I like to add lime juice. It’s great at toning down the sweetness with a natural acidic tang, but there’s just enough to do that and not make the drink taste sour. Just make sure you’re using freshly squeezed lime juice, not the bottled stuff. The flavor of freshly squeezed juice is more, well, fresh! Blended together with the strawberries, honey, and rosé, the lime juice balances everything out while adding yet another beautiful touch of summer.

How to Make It

Blend it and enjoy it – that’s basically it! These are perfect for making right in the middle of a party because it won’t slow you down or keep you busy for too long.

Blend. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth.

Divide and garnish. Divide evenly among four glasses and garnish with strawberries.

Serve immediately. Serve and enjoy! Just don’t drink it too fast, since this frosé can definitely cause brain freeze!

Can I make Strawberry Frosé ahead of time?

This is a drink that’s meant to be blended and enjoyed immediately. If you make it too far in advance, it’ll melt and the consistency will be ruined. If you try to freeze it to keep it cool, again, the consistency will be all wrong. Luckily, this recipe is so quick and easy, you shouldn’t need to make it ahead of time!

Can I add vodka to it?

There’s already an entire bottle of rosé wine in this recipe, so use caution if you choose to add more alcohol. With that being said, you can add an oz or two of vodka to this recipe! Just note that while it won’t necessarily ruin the flavor, you will be able to detect the flavor of the vodka, especially if you have a heavy pour.

What kind of rosé wine should I use?

Any brand should be just fine. With that being said, you should really avoid bottom shelf bottles of wine if you can help it. A cocktail is only ever as good as the alcohol you use to make it, so avoid the super cheap stuff. You also don’t need the top shelf, either! A middle of the road rosé works perfectly fine for this blended beverage.
