Two-Ingredient Everything Parmesan Crisps
These easy appetizers are crispy, salty and completely addicting. So simple to make with just two ingredients, Everything Parmesan Crisps will be your new favorite snack for absolutely EVERYTHING.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I returned home from Kansas City on Saturday where I attended my new favorite food blogger conference, Chopped. It was jam-packed with new learning opportunities and incredibly motivating people. I started off the conference with an intimate photography workshop led by Matt Armendariz, the most amazing food photographer….evah. I’ve had a bit of a crush on Matt for quite awhile, see…what he didn’t know is that he single-handedly taught me how to improve my food photos from the comfort of my own kitchen. I bought his book about a year ago and it’s been my best friend ever since. If you’ve been following the blog long enough then you know what I’m talking about. So, I am eternally grateful that he wrote that book and shared his knowledge in a simple, non-technical format. I highly recommend it.
I was beyond thrilled that I was able to talk to him in person and ask all sorts of questions that have been burning in my brain lately. Like, how do you make a pour shot crisp and clean….and how do I minimize glare on my drinking glasses when shooting cocktails. (The secret, shoot your cocktails in the morning….no complaints here!) And we even got to talk about Game of Thrones….yep, I love him even more than I thought I could.
The only thing better than meeting Matt in person at the conference would be to have him over for cocktails. We would whip up some of these Bloody Margaritas with slices of lime and huge stalks of crisp celery while discussing the puzzle that is Game of Thrones. We would graze on an artfully arranged cheese platter then finish up with a salad loaded with fresh, ripe veggies and topped with a huge mess of these Everything Parmesan Crisps. But since he lives on the West coast and I’m on the East…this seems like an unlikely fantasy.
But at least I can whip up my own cocktails, cheese platter and…I think I’ll skip the salad and just nosh on a pile of my Everything Parmesan Crisps. They’re a cheese lovers dream. Salty, garlicky, crisp….better than any chip or cracker I’ve ever had. They’re a great addition to a cheese tray and they only require two ingredients. Cheese and Everything Bagel Spice Blend. That’s it. If you plan to make these for a party of more than two people, may I suggest quadrupling the recipe. It’s just a suggestion but, believe me, if you don’t you’ll regret it.
Everything Parmesan Crisps
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons Everything Bagel Spice Blend
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Pour heaping tablespoons of grated cheese onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle each pile of cheese evenly with Everything Bagel Spice Blend and transfer to the oven. Bake for 4-5 minutes until golden and crisp. Cool for 30 seconds on the baking sheet and then transfer to a cooling rack. Repeat with the remaining cheese and seasoning. Serve.
- Can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored at room temperature.
