This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of ACME Markets. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been baking up a storm getting ready for the holidays. Gifting my favorite holiday cookies is one of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season but not everyone wants a big platter of sweets right at that moment.

Now, I’m also sharing my favorite cookie recipes by creating Cookie Mix in a Jar so they can bake up a batch of chocolate chip cookies whenever they like. And ACME Markets makes it so easy to pick up everything I need to make this gift as festive as possible.

The debi lilly design™ seasonal gifting and home decor line as well as the holiday baking essentials I found at my local ACME Markets, creating a festive and tasty gift to deliver to my friends doorstep is easier than pie!

ACME’s exclusive brands offer everything you need to create your favorite holiday recipes and at an incredible value. You can find an incredible range of great products you’re proud to share with your family and friends both in-store and online. I even picked up the Signature SELECT™ Seasonal Cheesecake tray to share with friends over coffee….since I’m not bringing the baked cookies this year. It has a little something for everyone from the Chocolate Cheesecake to the Cranberry White Chocolate…my new favorite!

Cookie Mix in a Jar was a popular homemade gift when I was growing up. You can make just about any type of cookie to gift to friends or loved ones….anything from Chocolate Chip Cookies to Oatmeal Raisin.

All the dry ingredients are packed into a jar and given to the recipient along with the recipe for baking up their cookies. They are responsible for adding in whatever wet ingredients are called for in the recipe.

How To Make Cookies In A Jar

Using my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe as the starting point, layer the dry ingredients into the jar starting with the flour.

Whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda then, using a funnel, pour the flour mixture into the bottom of the jar.

Follow up with the brown sugar, chocolate chips, granulated sugar and bonus ingredients like nuts or more chocolate, if you wish.

For extra neat layers, add the granulated sugar on top of the brown sugar. I added it on top of the chocolate chips because I love how it fills in the holes but you may prefer to do it differently.

And that’s what makes this gift so perfect, it is really created from the heart.

To make your gift extra special, tie a ribbon around the top and secure some greens from the debi lilly design floral collection. I trimmed a few evergreen sprigs to tie onto my jars and then gave the remaining blooms to my friend along with her Cookie Mix in a Jar.
