Leftover Ham Recipes

One of my favorite things about making a big ham for the holidays….or just a weekend is getting to use up the leftovers. If you’re every wondering what to do with leftover ham, I’ve got you covered.

But first….let’s cover some leftover basics.

How long is leftover ham good for?

If you want to nibble on your ham before using it in a recipe, you can store it in the refrigerator. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then store in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

If you want to keep your ham even longer, you can freeze it with great results. To freeze your ham, transfer leftover ham to airtight freezer bags and press out any air before sealing. Freeze ham for up to 3 months.

There’s no shortage of recipes for leftover ham and you can surely make up your own as you go. Recipes that call for bacon can easily be substituted with ham instead with great results.
