Cheesy Taco Pinwheels

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of ACME Markets. All opinions are 100% mine.

Quick, easy and extra cheesy, Taco Pinwheels are a real crowd pleaser! Made with lean ground beef, taco seasoning, a blend of Mexican cheeses and your favorite pizza dough, kids and adults love a plate of taco rollups as an after school snack or simple lunch.

It’s back to school season and whether your littles are heading off on the big yellow bus or hanging at home for a bit of virtual learning, you’re going to need to have a few easy recipes to keep their bellies full during and after their school day.

I like to keep several easy, peasy recipes at the ready that are kid friendly and grown up approved (meaning, I like to eat them, too!) These easy Cheesy Taco Pinwheels are our NUMBER ONE snack recipe because they’re quick, simple and so tasty. Plus, who doesn’t love tacos?!?

And I love using the O Organics® products found at my local ACME Markets to create healthy and nourishing recipes my entire family will enjoy. O Organics offers a high-quality USDA-certified organic line of products perfect for your back to school essentials. A great option for the school year or tailgating season, Cheesy Taco Pinwheels are so easy to make with your favorite taco fillings. I like to use O Organics Grass Fed Lean Ground Beef because it’s much leaner than regular ground beef and it’s higher in key nutrients, including antioxidants and vitamins.

Your taco seasoned ground beef is rolled up with cheese in a tender pizza crust before being sliced into pinwheels and baked into a fluffy, chewy taco treat!

You can use your favorite pizza dough recipe or ACME Markets Signature line has a great refrigerated pizza crust that can be used in a pinch. The O Organics shredded Mexican Cheese is the perfect filling for extra cheesy flavor….sometimes we add a little extra than is actually called for in the recipe.

A party staple and after school must, pinwheels are easy to make with just about any filling you can think of. This Taco Pinwheel recipe is our all-time favorite to make for every occasion.

We love to serve our Taco Pinwheels with a creamy Cilantro Lime Ranch Dipping sauce made with O Organics Greek Yogurt and O Organics Creamy Ranch Dressing. Whisk equal parts of each together until well blended. Then, stir in chopped fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.

The fresh, creamy, light flavor is the perfect compliment to the hearty, cheesy taco pinwheels.

Arrange on a platter with chopped romaine lettuce, fresh salsa, cilantro and lime wedges for an epic party plate.
