Grilled Pork Tenderloin

It’s officially grilling season! Well, if you’re anything like me, it’s kind of always grilling season. Pork tenderloin is one of my favorite meats to throw on the grill. When it’s rubbed with the best combination of brown sugar and spices, the fiery grill compliments it in the very best way!

I’m also pretty obsessed with just how easy this recipe really is. Pork tenderloin is rubbed down with a spice blend, grilled in just a few minutes, then sliced and served. It’s so easy! For the best results, take the guesswork out of grilling and use a meat thermometer. Once it reaches 145°F, it’s good to go.

Topping it all off is a balsamic blueberry glaze that practically screams summer. It’s tangy, sweet, and easy to whip up in just a few minutes. I love the way that it pairs with the savory pork tenderloin! All together, you can trust that this grilled pork tenderloin with sauce will garner more compliments than your typical hotdog or hamburger at your next cookout.

Ingredient Notes

Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll need! For a complete list of the measurements, scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of the page.

For the pork tenderloin:

  • Brown Sugar – In a pinch, you can always make your own by simply combining 1 cup of granulated white sugar with 1 cup of molasses.
  • Spices – A simple, bold medley of garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin and kosher salt is what you need to create the very best flavor here.
  • Olive Oil – You can swap this with avocado oil if preferred.
  • Pork Tenderloin – Don’t swap this with pork loin. They are not the same thing!

For the sauce:

  • Blueberry Jam – I love using homemade jam whenever I can! Of course any store-bought brand will also work well.
  • Pineapple Juice – This creates a fruity depth to the sweetness that’s simply delightful. It also adds a more summery flair to the sauce.
  • Balsamic Vinegar – This is used to cut through the sweetness with a bold tangy flavor.
  • Soy Sauce – I like to use low sodium soy sauce. That way, I can sprinkle in additional salt if needed and better control the amount of saltiness in the sauce.
  • Garlic – Fresh is best!
  • Olive Oil
  • Italian Seasoning – I always keep a jar of this homemade blend on my spice rack.
  • Salt and Pepper – Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper is the way to go.

How to Make Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Make the very best grilled pork tenderloin every time with this quick and easy method!

  1. Rub the pork tenderloin. Whisk together the brown sugar, spices and olive oil. Spread the rub evenly all over the pork tenderloin. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  2. Grill it. Preheat the grill to medium high. Once hot, add the pork and cook it for about 5-8 minutes. Turn it and keep grilling for another 10 minutes, or until the thermometer reads 145°F when inserted into the meat.
  3. Rest. Place the cooked pork on a platter and loosely cover it with foil. Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing. This is what will make it nice and juicy!
  4. Make the sauce. Whisk together the jam, pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and olive oil over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Simmer until just slightly thickened. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Enjoy! Slice the pork and serve it with the sauce.
