Chocolate Banana Smoothie
I’m a chocoholic. Sweets are totally my jam but they’re also my downfall because I just can’t get enough. So, I’m always looking for ways to satisfy my sweet tooth while still fueling up.
This Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie recipe is a favorite of mine because it’s ready in just a couple minutes with ingredients I keep around ALL THE TIME. And it’s rich, chocolate-y flavor totally checks the box when I’m looking for a sweet treat to indulge in.
Made with healthy ingredients I found at my local ACME Markets, this easy smoothie recipe is a hit with the kids making it the perfect mid-day snack. How To Make A Smoothie
This Chocolate Banana Smoothie is a cinch to make in just a couple minutes.
Start with a ripe, frozen banana, Open Nature Vanilla Protein Powder, your favorite plant based yogurt, O Organics Unsweetened Almond Milk, Open Nature Almond Butter, cocoa powder and coconut flakes.
Blend together in a blender until smooth.
Pour into a glass and enjoy.
You can sweetened your smoothie with honey or maple syrup but the banana provides plenty of sweetness all on it’s own. The coconut flakes don’t add a ton of flavor but contain manganese which is great for bone health. If you’re not a fan of coconut, you can leave it out.
I shopped at ACME Markets in the Philadelphia, PA area, but you can also find O Organics® products exclusively at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket. Shop O Organics® affordable high-quality products at your local ACME Markets store.

“This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie recipe is a favorite of mine”
Respectfully, since there is no peanut butter anywhere in the recipe, unless the protein powder is from peanuts, or you substitute peanut butter for the almond butter (which is not even suggested), it should be titled Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie. But it’s titled instead ‘Chocolate Banana Smoothie.’ Not what the e-mail is titled. What happened?
Brain fart. So sorry for the misleading information but this is, in fact, a Chocolate Banana Smoothie that you could add peanut butter to in place of the almond butter. My apologies for making you click due to my error.
