Homemade Lemonade Recipe
Simple ingredients blended effortlessly make the best recipes and this Homemade Lemonade Recipe is no exception. Fresh squeezed lemon juice, water and simple syrup are stirred up to create the most iconic summer beverage ever made. The perfect way to quench your thirst all season long.
We are counting down the sleeps in my house until Memorial Day weekend….the unofficial start of summer. I’m so excited I’m actually a little giddy. We’ll be heading to the shore in just a few days and have been watching the seesawing weather report while biting our nails in anticipation.
Sun/rain/sun/rain/sun/rain…..I guess it’s too early to tell because the weather guessers just keep bouncing back and forth between the two. I don’t care….it’s been way too long since I’ve dipped my toes in the ocean and buried my feet in the sand. I’m going rain or shine and I’m making a big batch of this Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Recipe with me to kick off the season.
Summers at the shore are one of my favorite things in the world….the salty air, ice cream on the beach, the greasy pizza….it’s all filled with some sort of memory. We’ve been visiting the same shore town since I was a wee one and I’m so excited to be able to take my kids there to make some more memories with. I’ll share snippets of my holiday weekend on Instagram stories if you want to follow along!
How To Make It
Back to my Classic Lemonade Recipe…..from scratch….lemonade is a must have during the summer months whether you’re at the beach or in the city. It’s tart, sweet and refreshing. It’s sunshine in a glass and it’s so incredibly simple to make.
Fresh squeezed lemon juice is blended with water and stirred with simple syrup, then poured over ice and sipped through a delightful paper straw while listening to the crickets chirp in the distance.
It’s something I always have in the fridge and it’s even more delish mixed with a little libation like vodka or gin.
How Long Will It Last
This easy Lemonade recipe will last in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks but I promise you, it’s going to vanish way before that. It’s sweet, tart flavor keeps you coming back for more!
How To Serve It
This Classic Lemonade Recipe is the perfect party staple, too! Sip it on it’s own in a glass filled with ice or add it as a mixer for a DIY bar to round out your cocktail selection (I always serve these Strawberry Mojitos and Blueberry Juleps, too!)
