Halloween Dessert Board

All treats, no tricks! This super spooky Halloween dessert board is sure to be the perfect centerpiece for your Halloween party this weekend. It’s got all of your favorite Halloween goodies all paired perfectly on your favorite serving platter!

This dessert board is stunning, and totally Instagram worthy! After all, why not post a picture of your hard work? But this dessert board isn’t hard work at all. In fact, if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to load it with store-bought treats! Right before a Halloween party, I’m usually doing about a million things like making Play Doh Spiders. Getting myself, the kids, and the house ready all at once is crazy, so why not take it easy on yourself when it comes to the sweets?

Whether you load your dessert board with homemade or store-bought goodies, it’ll be a hit. Goblins and ghouls of all ages love being able to reach for whatever sweet treat they want on this spread, and it’s just so visually pleasant to look at! It’s perfect for placing right in the middle of your table that’s sure to be filled with appetizers and other finger foods, as it perfectly commands the attention of your guests and really ties everything together in a spooky way.

How to Make a Halloween Dessert Board

There’s some freedom in how you choose to arrange your dessert board, as now two are ever exactly the same. However, here are a few tricks to make sure yours is stunning and easy to put together!

  1. Pick your favorite board! I used a 24 inch pumpkin serving board.
  2. Position the bowls. Position one large bowl and two small bowl on the board. Cookie cutters work well, too!
  3. Add the cupcakes. Arrange the cupcakes in a row down the center of the board in between the bowls.
  4. Add the candy. Fill the larger bowl with the candy corn and the smaller bowls with the pumpkins.
  5. Arrange the rest. Arrange the remaining ingredients in groups around the board.

Ingredients for the Best Halloween Dessert Board

If you’re like me and want to take it easy, here are the store-bought ingredients I like to use!

  • 6-8 marshmallow Peeps
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup candy mallow pumpkins
  • 8 pumpkin spice madeleines or other soft cookie
  • 24 assorted sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup Halloween themed mini cookies

If you’d like to use some homemade halloween treats, here are a few delicious ones to try.

How else can I dress up my Halloween dessert board?

This is a fantastic board to add some fall florals like pumpkins or autumn leaves to bring some seasonal flair to your creation. Just be sure to clean them first so you don’t have any eight legged critters joining your feast!

Where to buy the Halloween treats

For this spooky dessert board, I usually go to multiple different stores! Excessive? Probably. Does it work? Absolutely! While I love the Trader Joe’s Halloween Joe Joe Cookies, I also have to go to somewhere like my local Target for the Halloween Peeps. If you can get everything you need at one store, fantastic! If not, that’s okay too – you can be like me and run all around town so the board has some variety to it.
