Easy Pizza Dip
Extra cheesy, creamy and tangy, Supreme Pizza Dip is just like your favorite pizza without the crust. Serve this treat at your next party and your guests will be hooked after the first bite.
Pizza Dip
Like any normal person, I’m a pizza lover. I like it all, any topping, any cheese, sauce, no sauce, veggies, meat-lovers….I will eat just about anything. Put an egg on it….I’m there! And this easy Pizza Dip recipe has been my favorite party appetizer for decades for that reason.
What’s better than melted cheese in a bowl with some sauce and pizza toppings?
I love that this pizza dip recipe is so darn easy to make. You could serve it with crackers, crostini or breadsticks. Or just eat it with a spoon.
This is a great make ahead dip and would go really well with my Baked Garlic Parmesan Wings.
Ingredients for Pizza Dip
- Cream Cheese – We like to use regular cream cheese but low fat would work, as well.
- Ricotta Cheese – The ricotta just adds to the creaminess of the cheese base and adds a nice tangy note.
- Seasonings – We like to a mix of garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper for this dip but you can use Italian Seasoning or our homemade pizza seasoning for even more flavor.
- Cheese – Mozzarella and Sharp Provolone are my favorites for this dip but feel free to use whatever cheese you like on your pizza.
- Toppings – We went full on Supreme Pizza for this recipe but you can make a veggie pizza dip, meat lovers pizza dip or just a classic pepperoni pizza dip.
How to Make Pizza Dip
- Blend – Blend together the cream cheese, ricotta and seasonings in a food processor or blender until smooth.
- Add the Cheese – Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the cheeses.
- Assemble the dip – Spoon the sauce into a baking dish in an even layer and top with the cheese mixture. Sprinkle the cheese with your toppings.
- Bake – Transfer to the oven and bake until bubbling and golden.
- Serve – Serve with crackers, breadsticks or crostini.
Cooking Tips for Perfect Dip
- Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature for easy blending.
- If you don’t have a blender or food processor, you can mix by hand or use a hand mixer.
- While I love the freshness of hand grated cheese, pre-shredded cheese is a time saver for easy party prep.
- Assemble the dip up to 1 day in advance.
- Allow the dip to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

You mention mayonnaise but it’s not included in recipe
Sorry, that’s a typo. We retested the recipe and swapped out mayonnaise for ricotta. I’ll update it for you. Thank you!
Dang, a little late for the superbowl but I’ll definitely add this to my list of party foods. I could eat that with a spoon!
