California Club Pizza with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette
Inspired my favorite pizza chain, this California Club White Pizza is not lacking in the flavor department. Tender dough is covered with zesty garlic white pizza sauce, sprinkled with cheese and baked to perfection before being topped with fresh baby arugula, creamy avocado, bacon, parmesan and a tangy honey balsamic vinaigrette.

Nearing the end of summer is a crazy time here….it’s like all the sudden I’m looking for any excuse to get outside. Rain or shine, I’m soaking up all the warm weather I can because, before I know it, I’ll be slipping my arms into that gigantic puffer coat anytime I leave the house.
Winter is coming….the time of year when all I can think about is warm weather, chirping birds and dipping my toes in the ocean.
So, naturally…I find myself building a little makeshift kitchen outside on my deck or by the pool so I can spend even more time outside before Mother Nature turns on me.
I like to be ready for impromptu parties without any fuss….and pizzas are my newest obsession for summer weather because they’re quick, customizable and a hit with anyone who stops by.
Paired perfectly with my FAVORITE DaVinci Chianti and Pinot Grigio, it’s like a party package at the ready and with dinner on the table in minutes.
We, seriously, have been stocking our wine cabinet with DaVinci Chianti and Pinot Grigio for years. It’s always great to have a red and white option on hand for drop in guests and DaVinci Wines are so versatile we pair them with burgers, steak, pasta, pizzas and even light salads. They, basically, go with everything.
And BOTH the DaVinci Chianti and Pinot Grigio wines go fantastically with this California Club White Pizza recipe. Throw on some fresh, in season toppings and your pizzas look like they’re ready for their Instagram selfie.
This California Club Pizza with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette is, by far, my favorite pizza ever. Totally fresh and light!.
And it’s super easy to make using my new Ooni Wood-Fired Pizza Oven. I am, totally, in love with this oven because it gives my pizza crust a crispy, chewy bite and my pizza is done in about 60 seconds!
Ooni Portable Wood-Fired Pizza Oven runs on energy-efficient wood pellets that give pizza an authentic wood-fired flavor, and is super lightweight so you can take it on the go to the beach, park, or wherever the pizza party is. Ready to cook in 10 minutes, Ooni reaches temperatures up to 932°F (500°C) which makes your pizza taste like it just came from an artisan pizza shop.
How To Make California Club White Pizza
To make my California Club White Pizza recipe, I spread my homemade pizza dough out in the baking steel that came with my pizza oven and spread my favorite garlic white pizza sauce thin.
Then, I topped the garlicy white pizza sauce with a blend of shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses before baking in my wood-fired pizza oven.
Note: This white pizza sauce is a bit different than a traditional white pizza sauce recipe you’d find on a Pizza Bianco but, I assure you, it’s nothing short of amazing. Garlic-y, light and amazing, you’ll want extra to spread on sandwiches, burgers and more.
My pizza crust came out perfectly after baking in the pizza oven, even better than when baked in my conventional oven!
I piled my California Club White Pizza high with fresh, peppery arugula, crisp crumbled bacon, sliced avocado and shaved parmesan cheese before drizzling with a simply honey-balsamic vinaigrette.
It’s simply amazing and would also be perfect on my 100% whole wheat dough! I can’t wait to try my favorite margherita pizza and this Philly cheesesteak pizza in my new Ooni Wood Fired Pizza Oven during tailgate season!!!

Soooo my kind of pizza! Really like the added balsamic. Love this counter top oven! I desperately need one — as you can imagine, turning on the regular oven in Phoenix in the summers is torture.
I believe it! The countertop oven is amazing, it heats up quickly and doesn’t turn your kitchen into a sweatbox!
This looks wonderful…. Perfect pizza for any occasion!

Wowser that looks good, and it would fit perfectly in with our 85-degree days here in So Cal. (See what I did there…are you ready to slap me?) Love how you baked the crust and then created a delicious salad to go on top. Genius!
