Easy Chili Cheese Dip

Football season is the best excuse to dig into your favorite game day grub like Hoagie Dip, cheesesteaks and pulled pork. But one of my favorite tailgating recipes (my FAMOUS chili) is now my favorite dip….Chili Cheese Dip!

Made with just three ingredients, the success of this easy dip recipe is dependent on the quality of your chili. We like to use this award-winning chili recipe as the base but you can use your own recipe or just a store bought chili that you love will work well, too!

Ingredients You Will Need

Easy as 1…2…3. All you need are three ingredients.

Chili

Cream Cheese

Sharp Cheddar Cheese

You can use other cheese like Monterey Jack or Jalapeno Cheddar but the first time I made it I used cheddar and it was pretty phenomenal.

How to Make It

Chili Cheese Dip is so simple to make and only takes about 2 minutes of hands on time.

Combine the chili and cream cheese until well blended.

Fold in 1 cup shredded cheddar and pour into a small baking dish.

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake until bubbling.

Garnish with jalapeños and cilantro, if desired, and serve with tortilla chips!

What To Serve It With

You can really just serve this chili cream cheese dip all by itself or you can use it as part of a larger game day spread!

And do I have some amazing game day treats….like these stuffed mushrooms and these chili spiced tortilla chips!

Can you make this dip spicy???

    1. Kellie says:

Absolutely! I’d add either hot jalapeños or a bit of cayenne pepper.

“Chili champion”, haha. I’m with you, I have no idea who’s going to be in the superbowl (is it already decided??) but the commercials are pretty fun. And the food cancels out the boringness of football, so it all comes together 🙂

I used to live off of chili cheese dip when I was right out of high school living in my first apartment, but my version was a little different. This chili cheese dip is making me all nostalgic. Though, I think that I’ll wait to make some later instead of making it right now and eating it in bed like I did back then. LOL.
